Made from cotton, the surface of this glove, on the palm side, remains rigid thanks to a plastic material. The ouside is covered with a net which allows the skin to breathe easily. The patient is unable to pick things up or open straps. They are incapable of pulling at probes or dressings. This glove is particularly beneficial for patients who are restless or prone to self-mutilation. However, the lack of separation between the fingers (designed in the shape of a mitten) means the patient is still free to move these easily. If the patient persists in wanting to remove their glovs, in this instance using their mouth, two rings are provided to allow insertion of a lock.
